Located in Jiaxing, Jiaxing University is a public university approved by Ministry of Education of the People' s Republic of China. With three campuses in Lianglin and Pinghu, Jiaxing University covers an area of 274 acres in total. The total value of teaching and scientific research equipment is over $85 million. The library has a collection of over 2.3 million print volumes and over 2.49 million electronic volumes respectively. Jiaxing University has 17 teaching units, more than 16,300 full-time students, 8 affiliated hospitals and 1 affiliated kindergarten.

There are 57 undergraduate programs, covering 9 disciplines. Up to now, 2 majors are selected into national-level first-class undergraduate majors construction plan and 10 majors are selected into provincial-level first- class undergraduate majors construction plan. In addition, the university boasts 11 national and provincial experimental teaching platforms. Jiaxing University has cooperated with more than 80 universities and institutions in over 20 countries or regions, including the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Australia, Germany, Denmark, Ukraine, Poland, Russia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, etc. In the past five years, more than 1,700 Chinese students have been recommended to over 40 overseas universities for study and exchange. Over 600 international students from about 30 countries and regions have been enrolled in Jiaxing University in the recent few years.
